At this session international trade lawyers and government officials will discuss the multifaceted legal and economic implications of recent changes in US trade policy affecting businesses internationally. Speakers will focus on the ramifications of several US key policy shifts, including the impositions/cancellations/amendments of tariffs, the cancellation of the CHIPS Act, the reversal of US support for investments in electric vehicles (EVs), and specific tariffs on steel, aluminium, and softwood lumber imports.
