LIDW Underground Tube Tour
5 Jun
19:00 - 20:15
Opened in 1907, Aldwych (also known as “Strand”) was once a terminus of the Piccadilly line, serving trains to and from nearby Holborn station. However, it was never as heavily used as intended and closed to the public in 1994.
Led by expert guides, this tour takes you behind the station’s famous red-tiled façade to unveil its architectural treasures, fascinating history, and the surprising roles it played over the years – both in and out of service – as it navigated the twists and turns of the 20th century.
